Following a messy divorce, Tyorne buried herself in police work to avoid her broken heart. Figuratively and literally, since she was eventally diagnosed with a heart condition and forced to retire from handling tactical assignments. The only coping mechanism she had was her job's physical nature, but being a tactical officer wasnt her only option, fortunately, Tyorne had studied forensics and investegation years prior, she originally trained to be a K9 handler.
But missing persons' cases werent a pressing matter to the department anymore, just about anyone could be swept up by the storm- and criminals were too busy avoiding the storm to kill.
Since the only other cases cadaver dogs were useful for are drug investegations, Tyorne was assigned to a investigation collecting dust conserning a drug cartel ran by a particulally experienced individual. Avery Wolf, or Wilson, or any other name she goes under. Such as Ковалёв, an alias Tyorne found quite odd until she realised it was her neighbours last name, who had been married to Avery for a short period of time. Her neighbours roomate was also coincidentally Averys' past assistant. The case was already hitting too close to home, even more so when Avery showed up at Tyornes' apartment demanding to know what the hell she was doing.
Arresting Avery was no use, either, shed never been able to prove her identity or link her to evidence. Every time she arrested Avery, it seemed to make the woman more comfortable around her presence- as if shed slowly realised Tyornes incompetence, how little she knew, or something else she couldnt decipher. Avery attempting to kiss her a few times did little to help her understand the situation.

- job: befote tyorne started having heart problems, she led a team of tatical officers in high risk situations. although after being diagnosed, she was too valuble to be let go and was reduced to being an officer
- plants: as tyorne grapples with the anger of only being able to see her son 12 times a year, she picks up collectimg plants. Specifically cactuses. She loves how hard they are to kill since she is far from the nuturing type.

tyornes hatred for avery borders on obsessive, her dreams are filled with successfully arresting her and laughing in her face. admittadly, avery is too smart for the entire police department, every time tyorne is sure shed got her with inexcuseable evidence, a few minutes later avery is waltzing out of the station. after years of excessive spying, sleepless nights of walking circles around evidence and unnessecary arrests, tyorne had realised shed grown too close to avery for comfort. after putting avery on house arrests, she was tasked with daily check ins. as she watched the woman's mental state disintergrate, she felt uncomfortably conserned- as if she cared about this criminal.
